– Cairo Criminal Court ordered, yesterday evening, the detention renewal of photojournalist Abdel-Rahman al-Ansari for 45 days in case No. 441 of 2018 State Security.
– Imbaba Prosecution ordered the detention renewal of Osama Ismail for 15 days pending investigations in case No. 7996 of 2018 Imababa Administrative.
– The Court of Administrative Justice’s 2nd chamber referred lawsuit No. 55639 of the judicial year 72, filed by journalist Khalid al-Balashi and others against the Journalists Syndicate head to annul the decision to stop holding a general assembly, to the State Commissioners Authority.
– Cairo Criminal Court, convened at the Police Cadets Institute, sentenced 3 defendants to death, four others to life imprisonment and 7 defendants to 15 years in high-security prison, while it acquitted 9 other defendants, over the case known in the media as “Ansar al-Sharia Brigades”.
– Cairo Criminal Court, convened at the Police Cadets Institute, adjourned the retrial procedures of 120 defendants into the case known as “The oppressed of Downtown” for the November 11 hearing, to proceed with the pleadings.
– The Supreme Constitutional Court set the November 3 hearing to adjudicate over the case challenging the unconstitutionality of the fourth section of Article (3) of the President Decree No. 162 of 1958 “Emergency Law”.
