– South Cairo Prosecution decided, yesterday evening, to detain economic expert Abdel Khalek Farouk and Ibrahim Hassan Ismail, the owner of the publishing house, for 4 days pending investigations into case No. 343 of 2018 South Cairo, against the backdrop of publishing “Is Egypt Really a Poor Country?” book.

-he East Cairo Military Court sentenced two defendants to life imprisonment and two others to 15 years in high-security prison over the charges they face in “Eastern Daesh” case.

– Cairo Criminal Court handed down a 10-year prison sentence to the head of the Nile Company for Roads and Bridges along with the Director General of the company’s executive departments over a “bribery” case.

– Cairo Criminal Court renewed the detention of 18 defendants on a charge of joining the so-called “Association of the Families of the Disappeared” in case No. 900 of 2017 State Security for 45 days.

–  North Cairo Criminal Court renewed the detention of Mohamed Ibrahim “Oxygen”, Mohamed Khaled, Sherif al-Roubi and Mona Abdel-Gawad for 45 days into case No. 621 of 2018 State Security.
