Issued decisions
– The Court of Cassation set the 26 November hearing to hand down the verdict in the appeal filed by 161 defendants challenging the decision to place them on terrorist entities’ lists in the case known as “Harming the national economy”.
– South Mansoura Prosecution renewed the detention of political activist Mohamed Adel for 15 days pending investigations into case No. 5606 of 2018 Aga Administrative.
– Cairo Criminal Court adjourned the trial of 26 defendants in the case publicly known as “Nasr City terrorist cell” for the November 3 hearing.
– The Military Court adjourned the trial of 304 defendants in the case publicly known as the “Assistant Public Prosecutor assassination attempt” for the October 29 hearing.
– The investigating judge mandated by the Ministry of Justice to investigate into Case 173/2011 Investigating Judges, known as “shutting down the civil society”, ordered the release of activist Israa Abdel-Fattah.
Decisions not reached until 5 PM:
– South Cairo Prosecution is presiding over the investigation with economist Abdul Khaleq Farouk following his arrest against the backdrop of his critical book “Is Egypt Really a Poor Country?” The decision hasn’t yet been reached.
