– Cairo Criminal Court’s 1st terrorism circuit adjourned, yesterday evening, the retrial procedures of one defendant in the case known in the media as “The murder of journalist Mayada Ashraf” for the hearing of February 22, 2021.
– Cairo Criminal Court’s 1st terrorism circuit adjourned, yesterday evening, the trial of 11 defendants in the case known in the media as “Spying for ISIS” for the hearing of February 28, 2021.
– The East Cairo Military Criminal Court adjourned the retrial of two defendants in the case known in the media as “Taking pictures of Belbeis Airbase” for the hearing of 15 February, 2021.
– Cairo Criminal Court’s 5th terrorism circuit adjourned, yesterday evening, the trial of 3 defendants in the case known in the media as “Al-Waili Cell” for the hearing of March 16, 2021.
– South Cairo Criminal Court’s 10th circuit set the trial of activist Sana Seif on a charge of spreading false news and assaulting public official for adjudication at the hearing of March 17, 2021.
– The Court of Cassation set 13 April 2021 to be the sentencing hearing in the appeals submitted by 25 defendants against the death and high-security prison sentences handed down in the case known in the media as “Helwan Microbus Cell”.
– The Supreme Administrative Court decided to suspend the Director General of the Follow-up and Technical Guidance Department at the General Administration of Family and Childhood at the Ministry of Social Solidarity for covering up the incident of torturing of children which was perpetuated by an orphanage’s chairman of the board of directors and for not taking measures against the orphanage’s owner.
