-The Supreme State Security Prosecution interrogated, yesterday evening, Mohammed Al-Qassas, deputy head of Strong Egypt party, after he was rotated/recycled (added to a new case) from his jail, pending case No. 440 of 2018 State Security. He was ordered detained for 15 days.
– Masr Al- Qadema State Security Misdemeanor adjourned the felony case No. 957 of 2021, in which Zyiad El-Eleimy and journalists Hesham Fouad, Hossam Moanis, and others are accused of spreading and broadcasting false news and information that insult Egypt at home and abroad. The case was postponed for the hearing of 17 August.
Decisions not issued until 4:30 pm
– The investigative judge mandated by Cairo Court of Appeal is conducting the investigation with human rights lawyer Hossam Bahgat, founder of the Egyptian Initiative of Personal Rights, pending Case No. 173 of 2011 State Security, but hasn’t reached a decision so far.
– Zagazig Criminal Court has considered the appeal submitted by Quranic teacher Reda Abdel Rahman challenging his detention pending Case No 3418 of 2020 Kafr Saqr Emergency, but hasn’t reached a decision so far.
