– 6th of October Misdemeanor Court adjourned the consideration of the Case No. 3870 of 2021, filed by Zahi Hawas against journalist Magdy Shendi, chief editor of “Al-Mashhad Al-Araby” newspaper, along with journalist Hany Ryadh and archeology professor Abdel-Fatah Al-Bana, accusing them of libel and defamation through an interview published by the newspaper in late 2019. The lawsuit was postponed to the hearing of 13 October (to announce the referral).
– The Supreme Constitutional Court set the lawsuit claiming the unconstitutionality of Law 47 of 1973 on legal departments for adjudication at the September 4th hearing.
– The Supreme Constitutional Court adjourned the sentencing hearing in the lawsuit claiming the unconstitutionality of Articles 136 and 222 of the Civil Code, regarding compensation for damages resulting from the invalidity of contracts, for the September 4th hearing.
– The Supreme Constitutional Court has set the September 4th hearing to consider the case claiming the unconstitutionality of the last paragraph of Article 1 of the law regarding the exercising of political rights, as it states that “police officers, throughout their service, are exempted from expressing opinion in every referendum provided for in the Constitution and in the election of the President and of the House of Representatives and Senate members and of local council elections”.
– The Supreme Constitutional Court set the lawsuit claiming the unconstitutionality of the second paragraph of Article 6 of Law No. 47 of 1969, on the establishment of the Pharmacists Syndicate (regarding the procedures for filing grievances against the decisions issued by the Syndicate’s enrolment committee), for adjudication at the hearing of September 4.
– The Supreme Constitutional Court set the hearing of 4 September to consider the lawsuit claiming the unconstitutionality of Paragraph “E” of Article 502 of the Civil Code regarding cases of non-recourse to the gift.
