Issued decisions

– Al-Mansoura Criminal Court has turned down the appeal submitted by activist Mohamed Adel challenging his pretrial detention order issued pending Case No. 4118 of 2018 Sherbin Administrative and accordingly upheld the decision.

– Cairo Criminal Court has set the trial of 5 defendants in the case known in the media as “ISIS- Al-Zawyia Al-Hamra” for adjudication at the hearing of 10 November 2021.

– Cairo Criminal Court has adjourned the trial of 103 defendants in the case known in the media as “Al-Suez incidents- Al-Joker” for the 27^th October hearing.  

Decisions not issued

– Al-Mansoura State Security Misdemeanor Court has considered the trial of Patrik George, researcher at the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights (EIPR), on charges of publishing false news and statements, but it hasn’t reached a decision so far.

– The Seventh Circuit (Civil Appeal) has considered the request No. 1340 of the judicial year 138, submitted by former human rights lawyer and parliamentarian Ziad Al-Alimi demanding to disqualify the judge of the Masr Al-Qadima Misdemeanor Court, but it hasn’t reached a decision so far.

– The Seventh Circuit (Civil Appeal) has considered the request No. 1341 of the judicial year 138, submitted by journalist Hisham Fouad demanding to disqualify the judge of the Masr Al-Qadima Misdemeanor Court which is presiding over the case No. 957 of 2021, but it hasn’t reached a decision so far.
