Decisions not issued until 4:00 PM
– The Supreme State Security Prosecution is considering the detention renewal of Mohamed Oxygen, Mohamed Khaled Mohamed Yassin, and Sherif al-Roubi, who are accused in the case No. 621 of 2018 State Security. The decision has not yet been made.
– The Supreme State Security Prosecution is also considering the imprisonment renewal of photojournalist Abdel-Rahman Al-Ansary into the case No. 441 of the year 2018 State Security. The decision has not yet been made.
– The imprisonment renewal of student Ahmed Gamal Manna, accused in case No. 482/2018 State Security, is also being considered by the State Security Prosecution, and the decision hasn’t yet been issued until 4 PM.
– The Supreme State Security Prosecution is also considering the imprisonment renewal of human rights lawyer Haytham Mohamaden in the case No. 718 of 2018 State Security, and hasn’t made its decision yet.
Issued Decisions:
– Yesterday night, Cairo Criminal Court ordered the retrial of political activist Ahmed Douma in the case publicly known as the “Cabinet incidents” case to the hearing of 12 July.
– Also, yesterday, the Supreme State Security Prosecution decided to jail Masr al-Arabia news website’s chief editor Adel Sabry for 15 days pending the investigations into the case No. 441 of 2018 State Security; so as to resume the interrogation conducted with him in the 15th of July hearing.
– State Security Prosecution ruled to let Makram Mohamed Ahmed, the head of the Supreme Media Regulatory Council, out of the prosecution’s headquarters, after hearing his justifications regarding the gag order issued in the case of the children cancer hospital 57357 donations.
– The Military Court adjourned the trial of 292 defendants into the case known in media as “the assassination attempt of Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and the Saudi Crown Prince” to the 18th of July hearing.
