Issued decisions

– The Military Court adjourned the retrial of the defendants in the case known as “Taking pictures of Belbeis air base” for the January 23 hearing.

– Cairo Criminal Court adjourned the retrial procedures of 37 defendants in the case known as “Rabea al-Adwayia sit-in dispersal” for the January 29 hearing.

– Cairo Criminal Court set the March 30 hearing to pronounce the verdict in the trial of 30 defendants accused in “ISIS Alexandria” case.

– Al-Montazah Prosecution renewed the detention of human rights lawyer Mohamed Ramadan for 15 days pending investigations in the case known in media as “The yellow vests”.

– The Court of Cassation decided to accept, in form, the appeal submitted by 34 defendants challenging the rulings they received in the “arson of the Coptic Orthodox Church” case, and in substance, to amend the sentence by placing those convicted under police surveillance for 3 years instead of four.

– Cairo Criminal Court adjourned the trial of 215 defendants in the case known as “Helwan Brigades” for the January 27 hearing.

Decisions not issued

– Cairo Criminal Court has considered the detention renewal of Mohamed Khaled, Mohamed Oxygen, Sherif al-Roubi, and Mona Mahmoud Abdel-Gawwad into Case 621/2018 State Security, but hasn’t reached a decision so far.

– Cairo Criminal Court has considered the detention renewal of journalist Badr Badr into Case 316/2016 State Security, but hasn’t reached a decision so far.
