– The Supreme State Security Prosecution ordered, yesterday night, the imprisonment renewal of blogger Wael Abbass and film director Moe’men Hassan, along with journalists Mohamed Abo Zeid and Adel Sabry, for 15 days pending investigations in case No. 441 of 2018 State Security.
– The Supreme State Security Prosecution ordered, yesterday night, the imprisonment renewal of journalist Mohamed Ahmed Ibrahim for 15 days pending investigations conducted with him into case No. 205 of 2015 State Security.
– Yesterday evening, State Security Prosecution decided to extend the incarceration of Mohamed Shabaan Mostafa for 15 days pending probe in case No. 585 of 2018 State Security.
– State Security Prosecution ruled, yesterday night, to renew the detention of media professional Abdallah Modar for 15 days pending investigations conducted with him in case No. 828 of 2018 State Security.
– Cairo Criminal Court adjourned the trial of 28 defendants in the case known in media as “trespassing Egypt’s eastern borders” for the August 19 hearing.
– Giza Criminal Court decided to postpone considering the imprisonment renewal of 3 Al-Ahly club fans, who were arrested in connection to incidents that took place during the football match between Ahly and the Gabonese football club CF Mounana, into the case No. 487 of 2018 State Security, for a hearing to be set later by the State Security Prosecution.
– Cairo Criminal Court sentenced 10 defendants to one year in prison with labor against the backdrop of incidents relating to the fourth anniversary of January Revolution, AKA Al-Maadi violence incidents.
– Giza Criminal Court adjourned the trial of 11 defendants, including the former Minister of the Interior Habib al-Adly, into the case known in media as “Interior Ministry corruption”, for the September 6 hearing, to hear the Public Prosecution pleading.
– The Military Court adjourned the trial of 304 defendants in the case publicly known as “Assistant Public Prosecutor assassination attempt” for the August 18 hearing.
– The Supreme State Security Prosecution ordered the release of Adham Shahid under the guarantee of place of residence into case No. 718 of 2018 State Security, AKA “protesting price hikes of Metro”.
– State Security Prosecution ordered the imprisonment renewal of political activist Hazem Abdel- Azim for 15 days pending investigations in case No. 734 of 2018 State Security.
– State Security Prosecution ordered the imprisonment renewal of journalist Shorouk Amgad for 15 days pending investigations in case No. 441 of 2018 State Security.
– State Security Prosecution ruled to extend the precautionary measures against Asmaa Abdel-Hamid and the detention of Abeer al-Safty for 15 days pending case No. 718 of 2018.
